Join us this autumn and winter for our new landscape
photography workshops. Set in the unique landscape of
the Isle of Mull, we will set out to capture the magical
interplay of Hebridean light on land and sea, whilst
exploring some ‘off the beaten track’ locations and
enjoying the finest hospitality and cuisine of the
Tobermory Hotel.
Led by local landscape photographer, Sam Jones LRPS,
you will have the opportunity to learn about the art of
composition, how to ‘work’ a location, as well as
exposure and the use of filters.

Autumn and winter offer some of the best
opportunities for landscape photography with lighting
that is sublime. Days may be shorter, but sunrise and
sunset are at more civilised times. The programme will
be determined by the weather and lighting at the time.
Whilst the workshop will be predominantly
field-based, there will also be some indoor tutorials
designed to enable you to make the most out of the
locations which we visit.
Suitable for digital or film photographers, ideally
you will have your own tripod. Boots, waterproof and
warm clothing are a must, however. There will be some
walking involved, though nothing too strenuous.
Tempted, but worried about your non-photographer
other half or offspring? Tobermory and the Isle of Mull
offer a range of activities and attractions to keep the
family entertained whilst you indulge your passion for
photography.
The cost includes: four nights’ dinner, bed and
breakfast at the Tobermory Hotel, three days’ landscape
photography tuition, packed lunches, transport to
locations and follow up email advice.
