The
Water's Edge Restaurant
"the
menu comes with a page of perhaps the most comprehensive
list of local suppliers I think I’ve ever seen in a
restaurant."
Short listed
for Taste of the Highlands and Islands Restaurant of the Year 2009

"the mains; half a lobster, sunburn-red and fresh with
the flavours of sea salt and ozone, and a rib-eye steak
with vine tomatoes, a huge, impeccably moist crag of
meat "
Allan Brown -
Sunday Times
Widely recognised
as offering the best food on the Island the Water's Edge
Restaurant has come a long way from it's roots in the
Cosy Cafe, the local teen hang out of the 1960's.
"truly
inspirational is an understatement"
(Bruce and Carol
Hughes- Leicester)
Chef Helen
Swinbanks and her team offer superb food, locally
sourced - you could be eating langoustines straight off
the boat or fish caught that day by chef herself.
Enjoy a full
Scottish or Continental Breakfast or try our famous
poached Mull smoked haddock.
"the haddock
poached in cream is to die for" (Don Greenwood and
Valerie Browning)

In the evening
